Blogging Challenge #7 - Favorite Movies

Watching a movie has always been a favorite family activity of mine. Growing up,  I always remember how often my brother and I would go with my mom and dad to the theater. I remember the first time I saw my mom cry during a movie- our family went to see "Steel Magnolias" and its during the scene of Shelby's funeral where Sally Fields loses it in front of the other magnolias by the casket in the cemetery -- I distinctly remember how uncomfortable I was watching it then and then I look over at my mom and big black tears were running down her face and she was sobbing loudly - I was 11 then, and I made so much fun of her at the time thinking I would never in a million years cry like that in a movie... And she looked at me and said "Don't make fun of me, it will happen to you too someday. " And she was right, so most of my favorite movies also involve shedding lots of tears:

Favorite Movies
  1.  The Notebook
  2.  Hope Floats (when Bernice cries when her dad won't take her with him)
  3.  A Walk to Remember (sobbed for the last 45 minutes of the movie - Joey was embarrassed to be seen with me afterward. We saw this after only dating a month or so.)
  4. The Man In the Moon - First Tear Jerker  - when Danny sees Cort get run over by the tractor. I was tormented.
  5. The Proposal

  6. Sweet Home Alabama
  7.  27 Dresses - I have a huge celebrity crush on James Marsden
  8.  Father of the Bride I & II

  9.  Legally Blonde
10.  The Girl Next Door
The reason these have reached favorite status is because I still cry or get teary eyed when I watch them and they'll never get old no matter how many times I watch them.

So what do you think of my list? Do we match up? Did I miss any based on the common criteria? Any movies that you think I haven't seen that I should? If so, leave me a message below:

I love all of them... though I have yet to see 27 dresses and I have never seen The Man in the Moon- but I think that I will cry if I see them if you cried at the rest of them!
I cried at all of these too!

The Man in the Moon was Reese Witherspoon's first movie with Jeremy London. She has to be 13 in the movie and it's her first crush ever. I won't spoil it, you must watch it.

Don't even get me started on the Notebook. I got teary just seeing the title! Also, What Dreams May Come, The Fox and the Hound (yes, I know, that's crazy but I sob insanely at that movie!). Honestly, now I get teary at most movies!

Emily, we've seen "Tangled" four times and I cry when Rapunzel hugs her mom and dad during their reunion! The dad's face gets me every freaking time.
