Saturday Day Trip to Zoo Atlanta

On Saturday, Joey, Kate, Brendyn and I headed to Zoo Atlanta. The zoo had a weekend special where Fulton County & City of Atlanta residents and government employees received free admission. I was anticipaticing it to be packed so we got up at 7 am and got ready to be there right when it opened. The weather was great and the animals were really active in the morning. We were able to see the Lions wrestling, the silver back gorillas chasing each other and splashing in the water. Kate really enjoyed seeing Xi Lan (Shee Lan) the new baby panda. She even helped one of the zoo volunteers squeegee the viewing window.

As for Brendyn, he slept the entire time and woke up right as we were pulling out of the parking lot to head home. :) Here are some pictures from our zoo trip. Enjoy.
